The Color Run Dream Tour Recap

Who ran The Color Run Dream Tour like a runicorn?! This girl and all her fam did, that’s who! Last Saturday we were able to partake in the amazing Color Run for the first time ever! The last time we ran a color run was years ago when we were a family of three.  Now our little family of four has conquered the official Color Run together and we couldn’t be more proud.

We were all so excited the morning of and left our house way earlier than we would have normally. We got to the run location an hour early but had to wait in traffic for 50 minutes to park. My boys were getting super anxious because they were ready to roll!

Once we finally parked we bolted for the registration packet pick up. My boys were so stoked that they got tattoos, shirts, AND a headband. Shout out to Youfit Health Clubs for the microfiber towels too! Mom and dad are excited to have two extras to use. I’m not going to lie either, my boys looked so darn cute in their Color Run gear. Mom heart melted.

The Color Run Dream TourWe snagged a few photos(of course) then headed for the bull pen to get in on a wave. It didn’t take too long before we were off to dream in colors like the runicorns we were. The first color station came quickly and one splash of color on my toddler and he was hooked. He couldn’t get enough color!

The Color Run Dream TourSide note, shout out to the volunteers for being super conscious of where and how they were throwing color. We have participated in so many runs with my oldest where they would toss it right into his face. As a 3-5 year old, it didn’t go so well and we always had to break to clean his eyes out.

In no time we were flying right through all of the colors with ease. For a second I thought we weren’t going to have any foam and was slightly bummed then bam! Right towards the end of the course there was foam flying through the air aka my toddler’s second favorite part.

The Color Run Dream TourAfter soaking up some bubbles we made our way around the corner to be greeted with multiple colored arches waiting for us to cross that finish line and be crowned our unicorn medal. The boys had no idea they were getting medals too so their excitement was through the roof again.

We took our finisher color packets and had fun tossing them on each other while enjoying the after party. Shout out number 3 goes to The Color Run for the amazing stage and unicorn inflatables they had. We grabbed our Lay’s chips and enjoyed all the color fun the happiest 5k in the world had to offer.

The Color Run Dream TourOverall The color Run did an amazing job at coordinating everything. There was no confusion as to wear to go for packet pick up, the track of the run, mile markers, al of it. The Color Run has gained four new runicorns on their team and we can’t wait to participate again.

The color run is becoming popular in our country too. In fact this May, I am going to join a color run for the first time. It looks so exciting, how I wished my whole family could join with me, too…
